Our incredibly homogenous field often likes to pigeonhole civil rights for marginalized people as “political” to discount the need for disruption to the status quo. Vivian Tisi, MA, CCC-SLP will inform and disrupt this often-given excuse, and explore the deep-rooted Nazi history to the diagnosis and treatment for Autism, and how it’s linked to the oppression of the LGBTQIA+ and to racialized experiences. Hint: If you are not committed to justice for gay folk, trans folk, and racialized folk, you are not committed to Autistic justice.
